Experiencing Governance in the Vedic Age - Class VI

To understand the process of governance during the Early and Later Vedic periods, students participated in an on-the-spot role-play activity. Students chose candidates for the position of Rajan, who presented speeches to gain the people's support. The Sabha then voted to select the Rajan. A Samiti was formed, with students taking on roles such as the Senani and Purohit. They discussed a given issue and collectively decided whether the proposed solution was appropriate. The activity helped students understand the roles of different institutions and officials in Vedic society.
